Star Citizen Alpha Patch 4.2.1 Evocati Playtest

Alpha Patch 4.2.1 has been released to Evocati Testers! Patch should now show: VERSION 4.2.1-EPTU.9875737.

Testing/Feedback Focus

This initial build is a stability focused playtest for Evocati on EPTU. There may be features in various states of completeness but we are currently not focusing on feedback on these.
Our intent is to leave this keep this build up but if breaking issues occur we may have to take it down early.

For this event we are not expecting all the Second Life Resource Drive tracking to function as well as final rewards. These will be enabled once further changes are complete.

Known Issues

We advise not setting your home location to Lorville due to the top known issue
  • PU - Lorville / Maria Pure of Heart - Locations / Art / Collision - The floor at the lobby of the hospital has no collision
  • PU - Transit / Locations - Art / Graphics - Area18 - Transit carriages have severe visarea and lighting issues when used
  • PU - Pyro / Pyro IV - Eliminate All - Farro Data Center - AI / Mission Feature / Mission Content - Hostile AI are stuck inside spawn closets making the side mission impossible to complete (Hotfix Target)
  • PU - Pyro - Storm Breaker / Collector / Creatures / Mining - Irradiated Apex - Some Apex Valakkar limpets will vanish when they are successfully fractured
  • PU - Armor / UI / Personal Inventory - Items equipped and/or attached on the actor can't be dragged to be held by the actor's hands as its port will be missing
  • Multivehicle - PU / AC - Vehicles / Weapons / UI / VMA - Vehicle Weapons are not Interactable or Useable (Affects a handful of ships: Mirai Fury Series, Pulse, P-52, Spartan, and Cyclone Series)
  • PU - Vehicle - Naming ships, melting ships, or updating ship packages will delete any non-stock items that are fitted to the ship including paints
  • Multiitem - PU - Vehicle / Turret / MFD - Idris gimbals are empty and weapons/missiles are unable to be equipped to them (if turret is reequipped in the VLM)
  • PU - Pyro - Storm Breaker - Locations - Lazarus Research Complex - Freight Elevator - UI / Interactions - When placing items on the elevator floor then lowering it, the Freight Elevator will lose the items then raise itself (Moderate Chance)
  • ARGO ATLS ALL Variants - PU - Mount / Cargo Grid - Argo ATLS can be placed anywhere on the cargo grid without following the SCU grid pattern
  • PU - Pyro / Pyro I - Storm Breaker - Locations / Mission Feature / Physics - Bullets will not pass through the Shuttle Station's entrance curtain when firing outside
  • AEGS Idris-P - PU - Vehicles - Idris shields do not stop any laser weapons except panthers
  • PU - Freight Elevator / Contested Zones (CZ) - CZ Freight Elevator displays Internal Error when attempting to move items to the warehouse
  • Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles / Target lock - target lock is unlocked at random radar for targets is dropped
  • PU - Pyro - Courier - Mission Feature / Interactables - There is a chance that delivery packages cannot be placed on delivery shelves


Features & Gameplay

Gameplay
  • Resource Gathering Event
A shocking discovery reveals that imprint technology is failing. An upsetting number of the population are not actually regening, meaning that death might not have been conquered after all. To calm the public, Imperator Addison relaxes restrictions on scientific exploration in a desperate effort to find a solution, leading to some dubious research initiatives cropping up in the universe.

All 4 Corporations of the Stanton System are fighting for resources to help win a research contract. Whichever corporation has the highest amount of contributed SCU by the end of the event will be the winner of the contract. These resources can be gathered by any means necessary. Players will only be able to partake in the missions if they do not have a CS3 or higher.

Player’s will be tasked with different missions to achieve this including:
  • Resource Gathering - They ask the player to source and gather X resources.
  • Recover Cargo - Players go to retrieve cargo from a vessel that has broken down/attacked. Or retrieve cargo from a stolen stash.
  • Support Attacked Ship - Defend a cargo ship from waves of pirates trying to destroy and rob the ship.
  • Hauling - Retrieve resources that have been processed and are ready to be delivered.
