Star Citizen Alpha Patch 4.2 RC1

Alpha Patch 4.2 has been released to All Backers!  Patch should now show: VERSION 4.2.0-PTU.9864495.

Testing/Feedback Focus

Stress Test on Saturday 2 hours starting at 2pm CDT | 1900 UTC in the 4.2 PTU. We are looking to push this latest release candidate to its limit for performance and for 2 hours we will be gathering captures and data to make sure we are ready for LIVE next week. We'd like to pile everyone as possible around Pyro 1 for this test! This will help us judge if we need a further build on Monday to address any new issues found. See you there!

  • PU - Weapons / Reload - Audio / SFX - Permanent Ammo Repool Audio loop after spawning
  • Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles / Quantum Travel - Ships streaming in or streaming out locations on a quantum travel jump has performance drops and frame freezing
  • Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles / Target lock - target lock is unlocked at random radar for targets is dropped
  • Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles / Target lock - target attacker stops working when a target lock is lost due to locking range or radar dropped
  • PU - mobiGlas - Asset Manager / NikNax - mobiGlas / Inventory / UI - The Assets Manager / NikNax app gets stuck at infinite loading and never loads assets
  • PU - Mining / Saddlebag / Cargo Grid - Argo and MISC Saddlebags do not snap to the Argo RAFT's Cargo Grid
  • PU - New Babbage / Brentworth Care Center - UI / Medical Screens - Check-in medical kiosk is stuck on “Checking availability” loading screen

  • Multivehicle / Multilocation - PU - Vehicles / Location / Physics - Ships Experience Increased ICFS/Thruster Activities while inside a Hangar

  • Potential Fix: PU - Pyro IV - Farro Data Center IV - Locations - Farro airlock asphyxiates player (STARC-168893)
  • Potential Fix: PU - Pyro - Pyro I - Storm Breaker - Creatures - Irradiated Apex Valakkar does not spawn after activating the Pylon
  • Potential Fix: PU - Pyro - Missions - Ship Battles V1 - Ambush - Travel objective does not complete/update after arriving at the mission location
  • Potential Fix: PU - Comms Notifications - Graphics / UI - 3D comms call has no shadows rendering
  • Potential Fix: PU - Pyro - Pyro 1 - Storm Breaker - Lazarus Research Laboratory - Locations / Collisions - Power Bank outside the research lab has no collisions
  • Potential Fix: PU - Orison - Collision - When entering or exiting a shuttle at Orison, you can fall through the glass door near where it connects to the platform causing players to get stuck and potentially killed (STARC-171061)
