Star Citizen Alpha Patch 4.0.2

Alpha Patch 4.0.2 has been released onto the PTU environment!  Launcher should now show: VERSION 4.0.2-PTU.9546856.

Characters in this new environment have been built from Long Term Persistence(LTP) data.
Currently with LTP, certain player states such as personal hangar layout, custom characters, and in-game purchased consumables are not saved between releases which will cause some items to be lost in the next update.

The 4.0.2 release is highly focused on 3 key points to improve and fix as many top key gameplay issues as possible, improve connectivity/stability, and begin the latest Supply or Die Pyro Event.

Known Issues

  • Blocker: PU - Transit/Elevators - Elevators are present but panel buttons stop functioning (PTU builds in 4.0.2 have lots of extra logging to find cases of transit issues occurring)
  • Blocker: PU - Stanton - Area18 / New Babbage - Locations / Collisions / Transit - Transit in some Landing Zones have no collision, causing players to fall through the transit floor
  • Blocker: Mission Refactor - Comm Array Repair - Contract in mobiGlas becomes hidden when another player enters mission location
  • Blocker: PU - Kopions - Mission Content / mobiGlas / Creatures - Kopion related missions are not displaying in Contracts
  • Critical: Mission Refactor - PVP Missions don't work
  • Critical: MISC Starfarer ( All Variants ) - PU - Vehicles / Vehicle Feature - Payment can not be accepted to begin the refueling process
  • Critical: PU - Star Map - Party Members do not appear on the star map or area map
  • Critical: PU - Mission Refactor - NPE - Multiple Locations - Missions / UI / mobiGlas - Mission stops progressing after landing in hangar
  • Critical: PU - Inventory - Storage Access/Interactables - Storing items from the actor to the Storage Access interface will drop the items and make them lose interactions
  • Critical: Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles / Components / Weapons - Ship Weapons are sometimes not firing

Bug Fixes

  • Partial Fix: PU - MultiSystem - Starmap / Quantum Travel - Traveling to a marker will cause the ship to make a U-Turn (STARC-105462) (This should significantly reduce the occurrences of this but please let us know if it continues to happen too frequently!)
  • Potential Fix: PU - Stanton - Multiple Locations - Locations / Collisions / Transit - Transit in some Landing Zones have no collision, causing players to fall through the transit floor (STARC-154346)
  • Potential Fix: PU - Pyro - Locations / Art - Multiple Mission Locations Do Not Load Interiors or are missing interiors (STARC-152295)
  • Potential Fix: Multivehicle - PU - Vehicles / Resource Network - Weapons on UI appear powered off or allocated different power settings with UI weapons still fire and hotkeys can be used to change power (STARC-156490)
  • Potential Fix: PU - mobiGlas / Performance - Performance degrades while interacting with the mobiGlas Reputation application (STARC-105304)
  • Potential Fix: PU - Pyro - Reclaim Pyro - Phase 6/7 - Missions / UI - Mission Objective Locations narrative is giving random location context compared to its actual location (STARC-152399)
  • Potential Fix: PU - Locations - Multivehicle - Vehicles - When spawning a ship at a Docking Port, the ship will spawn clipped into the docking port geometry
  • Potential Fix: PU - Salvage / Economy - Salvage Panels yield more RMC than expected while salvaging
  • Potential Fix: Prowler Ladder is inaccessible
  • Potential Fix: AC - Frontend - UI - The Squad / Friends / Party UI options are removed when you return to the AC frontend by disconnecting from a match
